Where is home?
I've lived in many, many houses in my life but for the past almost 20 years, I've been lucky enough to live in the same place.
This place has seen me through good times and bad.

I can make music in here. I can watch the sunrise and the sunset from my studio, surrounded by trees even though in in the middle of a big city.
This is my home - for now.

I have said for many years that I would need a damn good reason to leave this place. Now I have one (a damn good one!) and in a few months, I will be moving to a different continent to start a new chapter of my life.

Such change in my life has made me quite reflection over the past few months and this has fed into my music. There is sadness and positivity. I seem to be able to say much more in making music in this way than with words (as you can see).

A note about the recording:
This whole album was improvised and recorded live in one take.
Like many of my albums, I start with a blank canvas and a few carefully chosen sounds. I play a few notes in to a long, slowly decaying loop and see where the music wants to go, slowly.

And because people always ask, the equipment used to create this music was:
my trustee 34 years Japanese Stratocaster copy played with an ebow, Roland SH-32 synth, Novation KS Rack synth and Reason, played with two controller keyboards (M-Audio Oxygen 61 and 49 mark 1's). Everything goes into Ableton.
