A brief taste of the ever-growing Bing Satellites discography. This first volume covers the very beginnings and includes a track from every album from 2008 to 2010, plus a few compilation appearances from that period.

If you're new to my music, this is good place to start.
If you're already familiar with my music, this might be a good addition to your collection and may include tracks you haven't heard before.

I was in bands in my teens and early twenties. I pretty much turned my back on it through the 90s, bored of egos and the nonsense that comes with being in a band.

In 2000, I bought a 4 track tape recorder and began experimenting. A few years later, I borrowed a sequencer and a synth from my brother (aka OnSpiderPark) and things really started happening. I didn't need to be in a band any more to make music. I could do this all myself!

My first steps were tentative. I tried to emulate my heroes. It was only when I discovered the joys of looping and improvisation that I really started to find my voice.

This album shows that journey with a few experiments with generative music and music with actual beats along the way.

I know my ridiculously huge discography can be bewildering. I have created this series of albums to help new listeners get a taste of what I do and for seasoned listeners to maybe reacquaint themselves with this part of my musical journey.

It has been fun to revisit this music. I hope you enjoy it too.
