Two ambient performances performed and recorded live in front of audiences in Leeds and Sheffield.

In June 2019, I supported Marconi Union at two rare gigs in Leeds and Sheffield.

When I was first booked, these were to be my final gigs in the UK before moving to the US - a fitting finale to that chapter of my life. Unfortunately, the move to America was abruptly cancelled and I found myself having to plan my life in the UK. Instead of an ending, this became the beginning of a new chapter.

The deep emotions I was feeling and the sense of purpose planning for these gigs meant I was very inspired to create music. I created a new system that I used live which helped me improvise to create slow, swirling atmospheric soundscapes.

This was also the first chance for me to create a video backdrop for each live concert, which I did over several weeks, using various elements - layers of fire, smoke and translucent material.
